The Canadian Radiation Protection Association is a professional organization that supports the development and implementation of radiation safety programs in Canada.
The CRPA(R) designation is the highest level of competency recognized by the CRPA at the Canadian level. To attain the level of Registered Radiation Safety Professional (RRSP), members must demonstrate academic achievement and experience in the radiation field, and successfully complete an exam which is administered by the CRPA and is based on identified core competencies.
The next CRPA(R) exam will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 in Edmonton (Enoch), Alberta at the CRPA 2024 Conference venue – the River Cree Resort and Casino.

The Board of Directors is honored to announce the introduction of the Adelene N.T. Gaw Young Professional’s Service Award, established in memory of a highly admired and respected CRPA member and past chair of the International Liaison Committee, who sadly passed away in June 2023. Adelene left behind a legacy of dedication, commitment to service, and promoting education in radiation safety in Canada and internationally.
The award will be presented to a CRPA member who has demonstrated exemplary service within the Association. Eligible nominees for the Adelene N.T. Gaw Young Professional’s Award must:
